Media Guidelines
Livenews.id follows the Journalistic Code of Ethics and the Cyber Media Reporting Guidelines set by Indonesia's Press Council. How we apply them, in brief:
- Verification and balance. Stories are built on traceable sources and, when they involve allegations, give those named a chance to respond.
- Sources credited. Stories summarised from other outlets' reports name the source and link to it.
- Facts separated from opinion. Opinion and editorials are labelled as such.
- Corrections and right of reply. Errors are corrected openly, and those harmed have a right to respond (see [Right of Reply and Corrections](/en/hak-jawab)).
- Takedowns. Published stories are not deleted casually; removal is only for legitimate reasons such as safety, the interests of children or an order from an authority, and carries a note.
- Advertising distinct from news. Paid material is clearly labelled.
- Copyright. We respect copyright and credit quoted sources.
- AI-assisted content. The English edition is translated with AI assistance and may be refined by editors; this is stated on the [About Us](/en/tentang) page.
