This policy explains what data we collect when you read Livenews.id.

Cookie-free reader statistics

We count readers with our own counter. It uses no cookies and does not store your IP address. To estimate unique readers within a day, we create a random fingerprint from your IP address and browser type with a salt that changes every day, so it cannot be used to track you across days. We also record the page opened, where the visit came from (for example a search engine), the device type and the language. Visit data is kept for up to 120 days.

Google Analytics (with consent)

If you press "Accept" on the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics to understand reading patterns. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded. Your choice is stored in your browser and can be cleared at any time.

Browser storage

We store your theme preference (light/dark) and your cookie choice in your browser's local storage.

Newsroom and email

If you contact the newsroom, we keep your email and its contents to follow up. We do not sell personal data.

You can ask for information about, or deletion of, data you sent us by contacting redaksi@livenews.id.
